Istanbul Sea Buses Inc. (İDO) is a maritime transportation company that was established by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in 1987 and transferred to Şehirhatları Istanbul Sea Buses Inc., affiliated with the Ministry of Transport, in 2005.

Services:

• Passenger and vehicle transportation in Istanbul city and Marmara Sea
• It also started voyages to the Greek Islands by organizing voyages to Samos Island from Seferihisar and Kuşadası.
• A modern fleet of 54 ships and 35 terminals
• 4 different ship types: sea bus, car ferry, fast ferry and service ship

İDO organizes ferry services to Samos Island in the Aegean Sea in 2024. Flights depart from Seferihisar Sığacık Teos Marina and Kuşadası Ege Port.

Seferihisar-Samos:

• 3 days a week (Friday, Sunday, Tuesday)
• Departure: 08:00 - 08:30
• Arrival: 09:00 - 10:00 (approximately)

Kuşadası-Samos:
Every day
Departure: 08:15 - 09:00
Arrival: 08:45 - 10:00 (approximately)
Time of journey:

• Seferihisar-Samos: 1 hour
• Kuşadası-Samos: 30 minutes

Journey to Samos: What You Need to Know

Planning a trip to Samos Island? Here's what you need to know about ferries departing from Seferihisar and Kuşadası:

Passport and Visa:

• Your passport must be valid for the duration of your trip and for at least 3 months after your return from Samos.
• Passports older than 10 years are not accepted.
• A passport and visa are required to travel from Seferihisar and Kuşadası to Samos. Visa types can be Schengen or Gate Visa.
• For citizens of the Republic of Turkey, the international departure fee must be paid before travel. You can pay the fee from contracted banks, online or at the Seferihisar Teos Marina sales office.

Boarding Procedures:

• Passengers traveling from Seferihisar to Samos must complete their check-in process at Seferihisar Sığacık Teos Marina Sales Office at least 1.5 hours before the departure time.
• Passengers traveling from Kuşadası to Samos must complete their check-in process at the Kuşadası Aegean Port Sales Office at least 1.5 hours before the departure time.
• After passport control, tickets will be checked at the ship entrance.
