Volgograd is a city within the Volgograd Oblast in Russia. One of the most distinctive features of the city is the Volga River passing through the middle of the city. According to the last census, it is known to have a population of 1,011,417 people. It emerges as one of the most important industrial and transportation centers within the borders of Southern Russia. Considering the general location and internal features of the city, it is seen that it is very similar to Çanakkale in our country. The city is also very developed in the field of education. When we look at the universities located in the city, we find Volgograd State University, Volgograd State Technical University and Volgograd Medical University. There are ten cultural centers in the municipalities, as well as musical theater and cultural houses in the city. It is known that there are 33 libraries in the city.
