Singapore Changi Airport
Singapore Changi Airport (IATA: SIN) or simply Changi Airport is Singapore's main civil airport and Southeast Asia's largest transport hub. Currently the World's Best Airport (Skytrax 2016), it has been awarded this title for four consecutive years (Skytrax's World's Best Airport 2013-2016) and is one of the world's busiest international airports by passenger traffic and cargo traffic. The airport is located in Changi, in the easternmost part of Singapore, approximately 17.2 kilometers northeast of Marina Bay (central Singapore) and covers an area of 13 square kilometres. Operated by Changi Airport Group, the airport serves as the home base for Singapore Airlines, Singapore Airlines Cargo, SilkAir, Scoot,Tigerair, Jetstar Asia Airways and BOC Aviation.
Land Transportation
Changi Airport was built with land transportation in mind, and the East Coast Parkway road was built together with the airport and offers direct access to the city center. The approximately 20km expressway is built almost entirely on reclaimed land and therefore has minimal intersections with existing roads on the East Coast of Singapore.
Transportation Between Terminals
Changi Airport Skytrain operates between Terminals 1, 2 and 3 and has a total of seven stops. The train has separate wagons for passengers in the flight area (transit) and airport area (public).

Mass Rail Transit
The airport is connected to the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) network with Changi Airport MRT station, located under Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 and accessible from both terminals. When the station opened on 8 February 2002, it initially provided direct access to the central and western parts of Singapore with a single train service (only available from Terminal 2). On 22 July 2003, this was replaced by the line train that currently operates between Changi Airport and Tanah Merah MRT station. The reason for this is that the line is used by very few passengers and the number of passengers who want to reach Tampines and Pasir Ris from the city center to the suburbs is much higher than that. Therefore, platforms relaying at Tanah Merah are required to connect to the rest of the network.
Bus
Until Changi Airport Station opened, buses were the main means of transport used to transport passengers and staff. Buses operated by SBS Transit, SMRT Buses and Go-Ahead Group use bus stops located in the basement of all three terminals and operate ring services covering Terminal 3, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
There are also buses to Johor Bahru and the airport there. Buses operated by Transtar Travel depart from Terminals 1, 2, 3 and the end of Larkin Terminal.
There are also free shuttle buses serving between Changi Airport (T3) and Changi Business Park. This service route has 9 stops and operates from Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
Taxi
Taxis are available at the taxi stands in the arrivals section of each terminal. There is an additional airport fee for all taxi trips starting at the airport.
