The regional station in the Frankfurt Airport Terminal 1 and B area provides access to the S-Bahncommuter railway lines S8 and S9 . Long Distance station
Frankfurt Airport long-distance station was opened in 1999. Sandwiched between the A 3 motorway and the four-lane Bundesstraße B43, the station is connected to Terminal 1 by a pedestrian corridor and to the Autobahn via bridge crossings. This is also the last stop of the newly built Cologne–Frankfurt high-speed railway line. This line connects southern Germany, the Rhine-Ruhrmetropolitan region, the Netherlands and Belgium via Cologne at a speed of 300 km per hour. Approximately 10 trains leave in all directions every hour.
Vehicle
Frankfurt Airport is located in the Frankfurt City Forest and is directly connected to the Autobahn at the junction called Frankfurter Kreuz, where the A3 and A5 meet. It takes 10-15 minutes to reach Frankfurt Central Station or the city center by car or taxi.
Passengers using their own vehicles can park their vehicles in the multi-storey (mostly underground) car parking garages located throughout the terminals. The long-term holiday parking area is located to the south of the runways and is connected to the terminals by ring buses.
