Charlotte Douglas International Airport (IATA: CLT) is a joint civil-military international airport located in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. CATS Charlotte Area Transit System Sprinter Enhanced Bus Service connects the airport with the downtown Charlotte Transportation Center (this route was also known as "Route 5-Airport"). These buses depart from and arrive in front of Area D Baggage Claim in the commercial strip and can be easily identified by their vibrant green color and “Sprinter” lettering.
Buses depart every 20 minutes between 05.50 and 19.00, Monday to Friday, and every 30 minutes between 19.00 and 00.02. On Saturday and Sunday, the Sprinter operates every hour between 06.00 and 20.00, every half hour between 20.00 and 21.00, and every hour between 21.00 and 01.00. Travel time from the airport to the city center takes approximately 20 minutes (depending on traffic). Like all routes in the CATS system, the one-way fare is $2.20.
