Winter in Thailand lasts for a very short time, between the end of December and the beginning of January, and this cool weather coincides with the peak of tourist influx. In November and February, the weather is cooler and Bangkok receives fewer visitors.
Whether it's a car or other vehicles, you're bound to get caught in traffic in Bangkok. Public transport is developing rapidly, and the BTS (surface Skytrain) and MRT (underground metro) operate from 6 a.m. to midnight. While these require separate tickets, they rarely overlap (fares start at $0.50 for both). Taxis and tuk-tuks painted in bright colors are available for rent at negotiable prices.
April is the hottest month with an average temperature of 35°C, and the humidity increases this temperature even more. December is the coolest month with an average temperature of 26°C.
The hottest season lasts from March to August. The rainy season is unpredictable and varies, but normally lasts from June to early October. Although this period is classified as the monsoon season, rains rarely last more than an hour or two at a time.

Suvarnabhumi Airport (IATA: BKK), also known as (New) Bangkok International Airport, is one of the two international airports serving Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. The other one is Don Mueang International Airport. Suvarnabhumi covers 2,980 hectares (7,400 acres).
Suvarnabhumi was officially opened for only a very small number of domestic flights on 15 September 2006, and was opened for most domestic flights and all international commercial flights on 28 September 2006.
Today, the airport is the main hub of Thai Airways International, Bangkok Airways and Orient Thai Airlines. This place is also used as a connection point for regional and foreign airline companies.
Airport Rail Link
The 30 billion baht Suvarnabhumi Airport Link system was opened on August 23, 2010, after being postponed many times. Airport Rail Link (ARL) is operated by SRTET, a subsidiary of the State Railways of Thailand. The standard line is 28.6 kilometers long and runs most of the time over existing regional rail and parallel to Motorway 7 and Si Rat Expressway. As you approach the Suvarnabhumi Airport passenger terminal, very little of it goes underground.
Regional Train
SRT offers suburban rail service between Lad Krabang (the closest station to Suvarnabhumi on the Eastern Line and one station away from the airport's Airport Rail Link) and the northern town of Rangsit via central Bangkok and the former Don Mueang Airport. The train also meets BTS and MRT at Phaya Thai and Phetchaburi stations respectively. Ring buses connecting the airport with Hua Takhe railway station are provided by BMTA. Currently, train services are not as preferred as buses because they require connection with a ring bus. When the Airport Express Link is finished, the services will end.
Bus
Free buses connecting Suvarnabhumi Airport and Don Mueang Airport operate from 05:00 until midnight. Three air-conditioned bus routes operated by the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) depart from the airport's bus station.
Vehicle
There are five main transportation ways to reach the airport. The most convenient route is via Bangkok Chon Buri Motorway (Motorway 7). The other main entrance to the airport is in Samut Prakan province, and it is possible to reach it by express from Bang Na to Bang Pakong.
