Malbork Castle

The Castle of the Teutonic Order in Malbork is a 13th-century fortified monastery, which was massively expanded and embellished after the Grand Master moved there from Venice in 1039. The medieval brick castle was restored in the 19th and 20th century and again after WW II during which it suffered major damages. The huge castle complex is the largest in the world measured by land area and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
