The music of No Land, an Istanbul-based music group consisting of musicians from different cultures and geographies, can be described as a music that appeals to all times, with its works that use electric, bass, acoustic guitars, drums, violin, cello and trumpet instruments and have lyrics of literary value.
In 2012, after Sahand Lesani (electric guitar), Kamil Hajiyev (vocals and violin) and Mehmet Akif Ersoy (rhythm guitar) came together, the production of No Land music began with the participation of Çağatay Vural (bass guitar), Can Kalyoncu, Hazal Ekkerman, Yağız Nevzat İpek and Oğuzcan Bilgin.
The name No Land comes from the movie "No Man's Land", suggested by Sahand Lesani, referring to the members' diverse geographies and cultures. No Land's current line-up, whose music has been enriched with changing band members over time, includes Kamil Hajiyev (vocals, violin), Çağatay Vural (bass guitar), Sahand Lesani (electric guitar), Oğuz Can Bilgin (trumpet), Ege Atalay (cello), Metin Kesik (rhythm guitar) and Nihal Saruhanlı (drums).
Their first album, “Aramızda”, released in 2016, is an album with Azerbaijani and Turkish lyrics, produced since 2013 and generally containing the group’s first works. “Niyə Belə Uzundur bu Yollar” in the album is a composition by the valuable Azerbaijani artist Azer Cırttan Mammadov and interpreted by No Land in “No Land music - NoLandçe”. Apart from this, the lyrics of most of the songs in the album are written by Vugar Hasani.
Their second album, “Pusulası Kaybolmuş”, released in 2019, is a new harbinger of the music produced by the group meeting with the audience and consists of works with Turkish, Azerbaijani, Persian and Russian lyrics.
The band, which continues to produce music with albums as well as singles they have released over time, is in the recording process for their third album, "Son", which they plan to release in 2024.
