Angel Cabaret tells the story of a woman whose life has been turned upside down, and her journey with the characters who nourish and empower her as she goes through the painful process of transforming into someone else, just like Margarita Carmen becoming Rita Hayworth and Norma Jane becoming Marilyn Monroe.
Angel Cabaret, whose story was written by Gözde Angel and choreographed by Gözde Angel and Victor Gonzalez, brings the common journey of all women who cannot find a way to hold on to life other than dreaming, who are attractive and deadly on stage but shy and lonely in their real lives, to the stage with live songs, dances and costumes from Hollywood's cult movie scenes.
The songs and dances from the cult scenes of unforgettable films such as Gilda (1946) starring Rita Hayworth, Gentleman Prefer Blondes (1953) starring Marilyn Monroe, Pane, Amore, e.." (1955) starring Sophia Loren, Boy On A Dolphin (1957), It Started in Naples (1960) and Cabaret (1972) and The Band Wagon (1953) starring Liza Minelli with her outstanding performances will be staged at Angel Kabare with the original costumes and performances by Gözde Angel and Victor Gonzalez.
Gözde Angel, who undertook the story and direction of the play, says the following about Kabare: "No matter how much they paid, women always looked for a way out in the healing power of art and found their cure on stage... In the battle they fought to control those waves that were constantly rising and falling inside them, perhaps all they wanted was to feel that someone was by their side with love, unconditionally, with all their heart... And that was all...
